Human Resources Expo 2009 – Sandton Convention Centre

As most people know, marketing plays a huge role in the success of any firm especially, in today’s economic turmoil.
Energy at Work is driven to succeed in this department and decided to go all out for this year’s Human Resources Development Expo which took place at the Sandton Convention Centre from the 12th August – 14th August.
Representing true ‘Energy style’, the entire team had the opportunity to attend this extraordinary event. Our stand was decorated to the tee and our signature colours ‘orange and black’ could be seen far and wide. Not only did we catch the attention of all the other Exhibitors who were more than intrigued by our burst of energy and bright smiles, but also the very important decision makers of various corporate companies, namely, HR Managers and HR Consultants.
Scholars and Graduates also attended this prestigious event in search of their ideal career paths and possible stepping stones to climb that very important ladder. Being able to provide the ‘Human Touch’ assisted us in this regard and we were able to advise these eager beavers on the right path to follow.
Energy at Work is definitely different from the rest in the sense that we strive at sourcing quality rather than quantity and decided to add a little something extra to this long awaited event. We decided to have a competition and asked everyone that attended to take part by giving one of their business cards (a great networking tool) that was placed into a fish bowl.
The prizes? 1st prize was a free temp worker for 1 week (Full costs paid by Energy at Work) 2nd prize was a percentage off the relevant companies first perm placement.
The week ended off as a huge success and we’ve been able to source a lot more new business from this initiative. So from us, Energy at Work, we would like to thank The Star Newspaper and the Sandton Convention Centre for arranging this event as well as a huge thank you to the visitors that passed by our stand, even if it was just to chat!!
